Saku Koivu Biography

Saku Koivu was born November 23, 1974 in Turku, Finland.  Saku has been captain of The Montreal Canadians sine 1999-2000 season, being the 1st non Canadien to be Captain for the Montreal Canadiens. Koivu was diagnosed in September of 2001 with Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, which had made Sako Koivu miss practically the entire 2001-2002.  But bounce back to become a great player again, a truly impressive accomplishment.
